EMINEM PRESENTS THE RE UP

Monday - March 19, 2007

God Bless the Shady Aftermath studios! In a time where songs with no substance make you a winner the shady camp takes things in there own direction."We're Back" by Eminem,Obie,Stat Quo,Cashis,Bobby Creek is a classic studio cypher ...hearing this gem you can practically picture them in a circle passing the Mic. Pure heat .....after something that scorching its hard to turn up the temperature until you hear the "Pistol Pistol" remix by Obie Trice.Obie delivers a spectacular performance on "Pistol". Alot of people ask if Em still has it ..but when you hear "Jimmy Crack Corn" with 50 cent it sounds like a cut from the Eminem Show that should have made it. It must be hard standing on the sidelines with Eminem and 50 cent but rookies Cashis and Bobby Creekwater make there mark on the "Cry Now" remix. The Focus produced "By My Side" and the Dr Dre produced "Get Low" lay a foundation for Stat Quo that cant be broke. If these 2 tracks show a sample of the upcoming "Statlanta"album I'll put mine on reserve right now!!! "No Apologies" by Eminem saves the best for last. This isnt Mr. Encore this is a much needed Marshal Mathers
Resurrection.
On the downside songs like "There he is" by Bobby Creekwater and the Eminem produced “Ski Mask Way” from 50 Cent aren’t up to par with the rest. Also the "We Ride For Shady" by Cashis and Obie doesnt have enough flavor to finish the song. All in all its still difficult to overlook this album and almost impossible to weigh down this collection. The Re Up is at Platinum status without constant radio or video play and very miminal promotion. This goes to show there is a light at the end of the tunnel and "The Re Up" shines.
