DJ CLUE - THE PROFESSIONAL PART 3

Monday - March 19, 2007

Back again for a 3rd time Dj Clue brings his latest installment of "The Professional" series. This doesnt necessarily mean that 3's a charm. "The Professional Part 3" is somewhat stuck in Limbo. The album starts off with a bang from Nas! "WAR" is the battle cry needed to spark "Professional" off right. All though the song has no hooks or 2nd and 3rd verses "War" brings an intensity that only Nas could bring. The vivrant Production and the much quotable lyrics from nas make this one winner. "Clear The Scene" by Jeezy and Juelz is the ultimate whip song. The production on this makes up for the lack of lyrics and still has a catchy hook that will stuck in your head for days. "A week ago",sampled from Jiggas volume 2 collabo with Too Short, is another great contribution.Mario Winans delivers a memorable performance and The Game adds something for the thugs too relate too. Next thing that comes to mind is "Liberty Bell" by Cassidy,Freeway, and Beanie Sigel. "Liberty" is a prime example of "making the beat hot".In this case the basic production is no match for the darts that this deadly trio throws.
On the other hand tracks like the forced "Almost Fucked" by Snoop Dogg and "Grill and Woman" by Paul Wall,Mike Jones, and Bun B might have you scratching your head of why these album toss aways made the final cut.In closing this luke warm effort is drawn right down the line. The question is which side are you on?
