The newest hip hop generation is suffering from a lack of originality. But in the midst of bad apples there are a few that still stand out. One of those good apples is Codizzle.
Diz is equiped with a unique flow, a sharp tounge and swag for days. The debut mixtape titled "I Can Make You A Star" is packed with all different flavors. Songs like "Can't Pay Attention To Them" and "Traffic Stopper" are full of machismo and bravado. But more then that the cockiness is backed with a sarcastic determined flow. Dizzle has a universal voice and can easily be bumped chillen on the stoop with the fellas or in the whip with your significant other.
There's more then self support songs on this project. Make sure you sit back and listen extremely close to "Gangs Of America". This song would make Nas "rewind". Another spitfest is "I Aint Done Running" . The lyrics are non stop blows. The beat on this kind of weighs down the project a bit, but Dizzle shines regardless. The artwork needs to be stepped up because unfortunatley sometimes people do judge a cd by its artwork.
On the other hand it's always good to hear new talent. A new breed is in effect. Codizzel is a work in progress and with more progress his work can be something even more special.
