On The Grind
Lou from Lets Make It Happen Productions

Today “On The Grind” is kicking it with, Lou from Lets Make It Happen Productions. All hungry artists or business owners needs to holla at Lou and make that video happen. On a mild May day Rapcapital.com caught up with the company owner and it went something like this….

Lou, what’s good man. Thanks for chopping it up with Rap capital. Com for "On the Grind".

Your grind is music videos. $500.00 dollar music videos to be exact. When did the idea come about to make an affordable price for almost all budgets?

Well I was talking to all these up and coming artists about doing videos, and I was getting a good response, because these kats know having a music video is like the new business card for music exec's.  Not only that but is shows the fans there personality, charisma, image, etc...but i kept getting the same answers and stories about how they would love to do one or two, but could not afford it. So, I was like $500 videos and peoples was like YO dats mad good. It just took off from there you know, I love what I do and seeing these young kats faces when they see the final product...Man it's worth it.

For the people that don't know, where are you based out of?

I'm based out of the Hudson Valley, in New York, about 60 miles north west of NYC

How far are you willing to travel?

Shit I travel the Tri-State mostly, but am definitely willing to travel anywhere, if we can work out a sweet deal.

What projects (music videos) have you worked on thus far worth mention?

I have done music videos for The Specialist out of NYC, Bundy from Poughkeepsie, JD  Artist ft The Advocate from NJ and Yonkers. I've also done documentaries (behind the scenes shit) with BIG Lou, Pr’z Fynest Inc a Latino clothing line, and Monroe-Woodbury football state finals week.

Other then Hip Hop do you work with other genre's of music ? If so, what kinds?

Of course I do, Music to me can set the mood for anything that's why I love it, so all music genre's I'll…, well wait not screaming metal, I can't understand them, But yes all music Latin, Reggaeton, Hip-Hop, R&B, Acoustic, and Yesssss even Country.

What made you start "Lets Make It Happen Productions"?

Man long story how much time do you have. I'll try to keep it short and sweet. After I Graduated from college I got a job right off the bat, which is very rare in the video business, I worked for the show American Chopper on TLC as an Associate Producer.  I got lucky, the problem was I had the position but could not make any suggestions or give any ideas for show, so after speaking with the executive Producer, about it with no improvement we went out separate ways, it was on good terms though and I started "Lets Make It Happen Productions". Now I had the ability to show my artist side and work with people in the same situation as me.

What year was the company formed?

LMIHP with birthed at the end of summer 2006, WOW I can't believe it. It's going on two years already. Man time really flies.

Out of all the music video companies out there what makes your craft just a lil bit better?

We are a gorilla style productions company that brings fresh ideas to the table. We understand what the grind is like and in the music and entertainment industry, a music video is the new business card. It shows personality, image, and charisma. Lets Make It Happen Productions can give you all that and more. We show the artist, the way they want to be portrayed. Using the experience, knowledge and understanding Lets Make It Happen will give you that MTV/BET type quality that you are looking for, so take advantage of this exclusive offer before it runs out. $500 or LESS!!! As we say... Lets Make It Happen.

Here at Rapcapital. com we like to ask some questions a bit out of the norm. It lets our viewers get a better of idea of your opinions and views. So lets get it cracking....

Name the 2 top video directors in your opinion?

Wow there are so many, but Hype Williams for being the pioneer of modern Hip-Hop Videos and Little X for bringing new, fresh and young ideas to videos.

Top 5 rappers dead or alive?

Biggie (best story teller)
Tupac (realist)
Eminem (best imagination)
Mos Def (most Poetic)
Big Pun (Put Latinos on the Map)

Honorable mention: Krs-One (made you think), Beat Nuts, Snoop, MC Lyte

Do you believe in ghosts?

Yeah!

If you found a wallet with 500 dollars in it what would you do?

Return it, I know what its like to lose something, and have someone give it back with nothing missing. That feeling is great, and I would like someone to feel that same relief.

Back to the norm.

What is a goal you would like Lets Make It Happen Productions to accomplish in 5 years?

I would like LMIHP to be one of the top music video production companies in 5 years.  We would like to work with big name artists but still keep it street and work with up and comers because that’s where the grind is and I can’t hate on that.

Where can the fans check you on the web and see some of your work?

Anyone can find our work at www.myspace.com/lmih or www.youtube.com/prragey2g or type in Lets Make It Happen Productions in google. O and the website will be up soon and they can check that at www.lmihp.com

Lastly........ let these hungry artists know why they should holla at you!!!!

They should holla at us because we are offering what no other experienced production company is offering, and that is $500 videos.  We also understand the grind and with our gorilla style filming we know THE GRIND. So as we say, “Lets Make It Happen”
