RapCapital.com: What's Poppin Doitall?

LOTU: I am bessed!

RapCapital.com: Lords of the Underground are a big eastcoast foundation.....But alot of newschool hiphop listeners may not know....So let the fans that dont know where you're reppin?

LOTU: Lords consist of 3 members Funk Man, Dj Lord Jazz, and Myself Doitall. Funk & I are from Brick City Newark, Nj, and Lord Jazz is from Cleveland Ohio.

RapCapital.com: What made yall pick the name Lords of the Underground?

LOTU: Tragedy Kahdafi said he was a Lord Of The Underground in a freestyle years ago and the legendary Marley Marl said that is what we should call ourself, so we did.

RapCapital.com: Tic Toc was a big hit in 94.....now its 12 plus years later.In your opinion if a song like that dropped one month from now what do you think the reaction would be?

LOTU: I think with the hook and some updated lyrics it would have the same reaction, We make timeless music.

RapCapital.com: Do you like how hiphop has evolved since then?

LOTU: Somethings I like and Somethings I don't, but overall the different genres of rap has made Hip-Hop a billion dollar industry.

RapCapital.com: What new projects are in the works for you (yall)??

LOTU: A new album called HOUSE OF LORDS and the formation of our clique called LORD GANG Worldwide!

RapCapital.com: You working with anyone else or have any features coming up?

LOTU: We have some people lined up like Donnell Jones and some Lord Gang groups.

RapCapital.com: How bout any producers you are working with?

LOTU: Marley Marl, Dj Lord Jazz, Pete Rock, Sedeck Jean(Wyclef's brother) and some new talent(Lord Gang producers)

RapCapital.com: We hear yall was tearing it up overseas.....do you feel more love across the water or back here in the U.S.A.?

LOTU: Overseas has yet to let the money that the industry is generating affect them. So they still just love the groups and artist that show they still appreciate the music and love for the art.

RapCapital.com: We know you have dabbled with TV ( "Law & Order","Oz","New York Undercover" ) and movies can we expect to see anymore of that from you?

LOTU: Yes I played a character name Roc in a movie called Durdy Game, and I have a new movie called Cash Rules coming out starring Traech, J.D. Williams from HBO's Wire, and Myself.

RapCapital.com: What makes yall stick to more concious rap other then gangsta music?

LOTU: We just believe when you have a platform let your words influence for good, we come from not so good sitiuations, so why make them worst.

LOTU: We have not created it yet!

RapCapital.com: Were you more of a B.I.G. fan or a Pac fan?

LOTU: Both, I like B.I.G. swagger, and I like the substance that Pac spoke with.

RapCapital.com: Coming from Jerz how do you feel about the new mayor trying to turn around Newark?Do you support his new tactics?

LOTU: Some Yes and Some No.

RapCapital.com: Favorite Food?

LOTU: Seafood

RapCapital.com: Wheres ya favorite vacation spot?

LOTU: South of France (Marseille)

RapCapital.com: East Coast hiphop is known for its quick pace,gutter feel and complex lyrics.Jersey follows that trend but always put a little twist too it.Look at NAUGHTY,L.O.T.U.,OUTLAWZ ....what do you think the reason is?

LOTU: We have so much talent in Jersey, but it is often overshadowed by NY. So it is just our attempt to let people know we are our own entity and we are not a part of NY.
